Credit Analyst 1

As a Credit Analyst 1 you’ll #makelivesbetter by analyzing the financial condition of individuals and businesses applying for commercial credit; helping to maintain the top-notch quality of our commercial loan portfolio. This position is designed to teach you the ropes, with a primary focus on the analysis of less complex loans and loan renewals.

General responsibilities may include:

• Analyzing credit data and financial statements of new and existing commercial loan customers to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money.
• Preparing thorough, objective and accurate loan presentations, illustrating the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money; assigning appropriate risk ratings.
• Analyzing requests for changes to collateral on existing loans.
• Working closely with Commercial Lenders to gather relevant customer information for analysis.

Must Haves:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting and/or finance concepts.
• Possesses basic keyboarding skills and the ability to navigate in a Windows environment.
• Knowledgeable of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Preferred to Have:

• Minimum of 1 year experience in banking.
• Minimum of 6 months experience working with commercial credit or lending.
• Minimum of 6 months experience working with SBA credit or lending.
