During December as part of our “Holi-Days of Giving” program, our 14 branches delivered some much-needed good cheer to area non-profit organizations and individuals, all who were nominated by those in our communities. Our Corporate branch chose Marco as their individual recipient. Marco’s Story as told by his nominator and mother, Ruth:
"Marco has been through a lot this past year. He is a 6th grader at KMMS and will also be celebrating his 12th birthday on Dec 17th.
On top of his father’s passing last Thanksgiving, this last July his 3 year old brother was diagnosed with liver cancer and is waiting for a transplant.
I've been very busy running back and forth from Children's Hospital and Marco has stepped up helping around the house, doing extra chores and being the best big brother he can be. The only thing he has asked for is a PS4 and games for a combined birthday and Christmas gift. Unfortunately, I am struggling to buy him such a lavish gift even though he truly deserves it.
He truly deserves the best Christmas and birthday and I want him to know that he is not forgotten and truly appreciated. He is a very strong, big hearted child that deserves the world."
FBFC was happy to make that wish come true for Marco.
