The Wall That Heals
Bank Five Nine has proudly donated $5,000 to The Wall That Heals exhibit as a Premier Sponsor.
The Hartland Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Village of Hartland, is honored to be selected to host The Wall That Heals in Hartland, WI, May 30-June 2, 2024. Hartland is the only stop in Wisconsin this year.
“This donation from Bank Five Nine isn’t merely a financial transaction; it conveys a heartfelt thank you to our veterans and the immeasurable sacrifices they have made,” stated Lynn Minturn, President of the Hartland Chamber of Commerce, and coordinator of The Wall That Heals committee. “This support from Bank Five Nine is an essential piece towards bringing The Wall That Heals to Hartland and allows our community to honor our veterans and ensure they receive the recognition and support they deserve.”
The Wall That Heals honors the more than three million Americans who served in the U.S. Armed Forces during the Vietnam War, and it bears the names of the 58,281 service members who made the ultimate sacrifice. A traveling replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., the three-quarter scale The Wall That Heals is 375 feet in length and stands 7.5 feet at its tallest point. Visitors experience The Wall That Heals rising above them as they walk toward the apex, a key feature of the design of The Wall in D.C. Like the original Memorial, The Wall That Heals is erected in a chevron-shape and visitors can do name rubbings of individual service members’ names. Modern LED lighting provides readability of The Wall That Heals at night.
“When Bank Five Nine found out that The Wall That Heals chose our Hartland Community to be the only stop in Wisconsin, we wanted to support in any way we could! The dedication and passion shown by Lynn and her team to have this honor bestowed upon our community goes beyond words! To be able to honor these men and women who sacrificed everything for our country so close to home is quite extraordinary,” said Amanda Drott, AVP, Hartland Branch Manager at Bank Five Nine.
The entire exhibit is free to the public and will be on display at Nixon Park. The Wall That Heals will arrive in Hartland on Tuesday, May 28th with a motorcycle escort and will be open 24 hours a day beginning Thursday, May 30, 2024 until closing Sunday, June 2, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.
