E-mail sent to us should be used for inquires that are not sensitive or confidential as regular e-mail is not encrypted and therefore is not secure.  We will never request personal non-public information via e-mail.  This includes, but is not limited to, personal identification, social security numbers, passwords,  or account numbers. We will ask for an e-mail address when you set up a new account or service with us.  If you receive an e-mail that requests this type of sensitive information, you should be suspicious of it.  If you receive a suspicious looking e-mail, please contact us immediately. We may use this address to communicate with you regarding products and services.

Protecting Children Online

Bank Five Nine feels it is extremely important to guard the identity and privacy of children.  We encourage parents to supervise their child’s interaction online.  We do not intentionally market to, or solicit personal information from, children under the age of 13.  In the event that we receive personal information from a child whom we know to be under 13, we will only use that information to respond directly to that child, or seek parental consent.

Section 326 of the USA Patriot Act requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account or changes an existing account. This federal requirement applies to all new customers and current customers. This information is used to assist the United States Government in the fight against the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities.

What this means to you:

When you open an account or change an existing account at Bank Five Nine, we will ask each person for their name, physical address, mailing address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify them. We will ask to see each person’s driver’s license and other identifying documents and copy or record information from each of them.

Opt-out instructions are provided at the end of each e-mail message sent to you.  If you would like to opt-out of receipt of future e-mail marketing, please send an e-mail to with “Opt-out” in the subject line.  Your e-mail address will then be promptly removed from all existing database, and you will not receive future e-mail from us.
